India-based Tata Motors has received order from the Delhi Transport to supply 1,625 ultra low-floor buses, and their maintenance for 12 years.

The contract is valued at INR22 billion, comprising about INR9 billion for the 1,625 buses, and about INR13 billion for the 12-year maintenance contract for these buses.

Tata Motors has said that the Delhi Transport previously ordered 650 such buses in 2007, and the company fulfilled the order in batches, as per schedule, in 2008.
